Job description
Job title: Quality Management System (QMS) Engineer
Role Type: Individual Contributor
Location: Mysore
Purpose of the role:
Drive Quality management system, and customer requirements to ensure output as per business objectives. Responsible for effective warranty management
Responsibilities:
- Ensure effective implementation of the Quality Management Systems throughout the factory, including any business accreditations
- Maintain the Quality Manuals (Qc, Qd) and Quality Procedures and ensure contents are appropriate for business
- Review update the SKF quality management system based on customer handbook, quality portal relevant data.
- Prepare and follow up the plant internal audits and the corrective action reporting system.
- Support external Quality system audits- TS16949, QT13 and Customer audits etc.
- Warranty management - Data, analysis and Improvement action plan.
- Drive Customer specific Quality projects and communicate timely updates.
- Maintain report customer documentation- IMDS, SOC, EHS requirements.

- Audit score (External) NC closure
- Documentation compliance
- Warranty issue closures
- Quality system/Customer Quality improvement projects
Competencies:
- Working Knowledge of Quality/Reliability tools (FMEA, SPC, Pareto, GRR, DOE, Statistical Analysis, Std. Deviations, Regression, etc.)
- Deep understanding of automotive customer working quality requirements.
- Excellent communication skills (written verbal), effective team player.
- Data analytics.
Candidate Profile:
- 3+ yrs. of experience in Quality management preferably from automotive domain.
- Bachelors in Engg. (Mechanical/Production)
- Understanding of quality concepts and principle as well as through knowledge of ISO/IATF/EMS.
- Certified Auditor for IATF-16949:2016, ISO 9001-2015.
