Job description
Oversees team of inventory or warehouse employees. Develop an inventory tracking system to streamline our business operations. Communicate with our AVP - Operation about current stock and potential issues with orders. Conduct daily analyses to forecast potential inventory issues. Report on inventory activities and variances. Develop and implement inventory control procedures and best practices. Review inventory and stock and investigating suspected pilferage by employees. Document theft and other security violations. Ability to respond well to emergency situations. Reviews patterns and trends related to product loss. Development of warehouse security policies. Manage inventory items and control the day-to-day inventory operations while implementing an agreed-upon inventory control protocol. Use data modelling techniques to identify ways in which an organization can operate more effectively. Communicate with senior people in organizations to find out what they hope to achieve. Formulate ways for businesses to improve, based on previous research. Persuade internal and external stakeholders of the benefits of new technology or strategies.
Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements: Bachelor’s or associate’s degree in business, logistics, systems engineering, supply chain management or similar. Minimum of five years of experience in a similar role. Experience working with inventory management software and forecasting strategies. Experience conducting tracking and data analysis. Product and inventory management certification a plus Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance or related field. In-depth understanding of distribution workplace. Inventory training an asset.Job tags
