Job Title: Accounting and Compliance Manager
Location: Churchgate, Mumbai
Position Type: Full-time

 

Role Overview:
The Accounting and Compliance Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing the accounting function
of the company, managing applicable compliances, and providing support to the operations team in
daily stock broking activities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in finance, preferably
holding an Inter CA qualification or having significant experience in commerce (B.Com). Additionally, the
candidate should demonstrate a keen interest in understanding share markets and exhibit proficiency in
technology to implement regulatory frameworks such as SEBI, BSE, and NSE rules within our stock
broking software environment. The role also entails responsibility for managing the accounting and
compliance requirements of charitable trusts associated with the firm.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the accounting function of the company, including financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and standards, including SEBI, BSE, and NSE rules.
- Support the operations team in daily stock broking activities, providing assistance as needed.
- Conduct periodic audits to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.
- Ensuring timely compliance with all tax obligations.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies as required.
- Oversee the accounting and compliance requirements of charitable trusts associated with the firm.
- Read and Understand SEBI, BSE, and NSE rules to coordinate with technical team for getting them
updated in the Broking software
- Stay updated with industry developments, regulatory changes, and technological advancements
relevant to the role.

- Collaborate with internal teams to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency.
- Provide training and guidance to junior staff members as needed.

Qualifications and Skills:
- Inter CA qualification or significant experience in commerce (B.Com) with a good academic
background.
- Basic Knowledge of accounting principles, taxation laws, and regulatory frameworks relevant to the
stock broking industry.
- Proficiency in technology, with the ability to understand and implement SEBI, BSE, and NSE rules within
a software environment.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-
functional teams.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
- Prior experience in stock broking or financial services is advantageous but not mandatory.
