Junior Scrum Master

Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and dynamic individual to join our team as a Junior Scrum Master. As a Junior Scrum Master, you will collaborate closely with our development teams to ensure efficient delivery of high-quality software products using Agile methodologies. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about Agile practices and eager to grow their career in project management within a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  1. Assist the Scrum Master and Agile team in facilitating Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  2. Support the Scrum Master in maintaining and updating project backlogs, sprint boards, and other Agile tools to ensure transparency and visibility of project progress.
  3. Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and remove impediments that may affect the team's ability to deliver sprint commitments.
  4. Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to refine user stories, prioritize backlog items, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  5. Foster a collaborative and self-organizing team culture by promoting Agile values, principles, and best practices.
  6. Assist in tracking and reporting key Agile metrics such as velocity, burndown charts, and sprint progress to stakeholders.
  7. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance team productivity, quality, and delivery effectiveness.
  8. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices related to Agile methodologies and Scrum framework.
  9. Provide support to team members in adopting Agile practices and tools, as needed.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field.
  2. Previous experience (1-2 years) working in an Agile environment as a Scrum Master, Agile Coach, or Agile team member is preferred.
  3. Strong understanding of Agile principles and practices, particularly Scrum framework.
  4. Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
  5. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  6. Familiarity with Agile tools such as Jira, Trello, or similar tools.
  7. Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.
  8. Certification in Scrum (CSM, PSM) or other Agile certifications is a plus.
  9. Experience with software development processes and methodologies is desirable but not required.
