Junior Scrum Master
Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and dynamic individual to join our team as a Junior Scrum Master. As a Junior Scrum Master, you will collaborate closely with our development teams to ensure efficient delivery of high-quality software products using Agile methodologies. Responsibilities:
- Assist the Scrum Master and Agile team in facilitating Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Support the Scrum Master in maintaining and updating project backlogs, sprint boards, and other Agile tools to ensure transparency and visibility of project progress.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and remove impediments that may affect the team's ability to deliver sprint commitments.
- Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to refine user stories, prioritize backlog items, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Foster a collaborative and self-organizing team culture by promoting Agile values, principles, and best practices.
- Assist in tracking and reporting key Agile metrics such as velocity, burndown charts, and sprint progress to stakeholders.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance team productivity, quality, and delivery effectiveness.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices related to Agile methodologies and Scrum framework.
- Provide support to team members in adopting Agile practices and tools, as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field.
- Previous experience (1-2 years) working in an Agile environment as a Scrum Master, Agile Coach, or Agile team member is preferred.
- Strong understanding of Agile principles and practices, particularly Scrum framework.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Familiarity with Agile tools such as Jira, Trello, or similar tools.
- Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.
- Certification in Scrum (CSM, PSM) or other Agile certifications is a plus.
- Experience with software development processes and methodologies is desirable but not required.
