Job Description
· Planning, Installing, Configuring & Troubleshooting Database Platform on Cloud and On premise environment.
· Deciding backup policies for huge databases.
· Carrying out maintenance activities like database compression (Optimize database for MySQL) and vacuum for
PostgreSQL database.
· Configuring optimal values of some important key parameters.
· Good exposure on database upgrade, migration.
· Provide technical guidance for integration, testing, design, development, planning.
· Contribute to improving and creating DBA policies, procedures and standards.
· Validating backup strategy on a timely basis and making sure that database backup is happening properly.
· Good knowledge of any replication methods like Golden Gate or streaming replication.
· Configuring production alerts using Pagerduty or any other alert mechanism.
· Handling escalations if any.
· Should be able to lead a team of DBA on technical issues.
· Hands on administration on multiple database technologies will be given preference.
· Exposure of working in an infrastructure support environment with responding to tickets using a ticket
management tool.
