Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical equipment and machinery to ensure optimal functionality and minimize downtime.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
Installation: Assist in the installation and setup of new machinery and equipment, ensuring they meet safety and operational standards.
Calibration: Calibrate and fine-tune mechanical systems to ensure accuracy and precision in their operation.
Documentation: Maintain detailed records of equipment maintenance, repairs, and calibration activities. Update maintenance logs and report any irregularities to the maintenance supervisor.
Safety: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to troubleshoot complex mechanical problems and implement improvements.
Spare Parts Management: Maintain an organized inventory of spare parts and materials needed for repairs and replacements.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent/ITI; vocational training or an Associates degree in mechanical technology is preferred.
Proven experience as a Mechanical Technician or in a similar role.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of mechanical systems, including hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical components.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
Proficiency in using hand and power tools for maintenance and repairs.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Knowledge of safety protocols and the ability to follow them rigorously/
Preferred Qualifications (not mandatory but a plus):
Certification in mechanical technology or a related field.
Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
