Job brief:

We are a rapidly growing chain of backpackers hostels with over 50 locations across India. Our mission is to provide affordable and comfortable accommodation for travelers, while creating a vibrant and inclusive community.

Role Description - Chef (Multicuisine)

Preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes in line with the hostel's menu and recipes. Follow established cooking methods, portion sizes, and quality standards to deliver consistent and flavorful dishes. Prepare ingredients, including chopping, cutting, and marinating, to ensure timely execution during service hours. Monitor food stock levels and assist in the ordering and receiving of ingredients to maintain an efficient workflow. Maintain a clean and organized work station, adhering to food safety guidelines and sanitation regulations. Collaborate with other members of the kitchen team to ensure the smooth operation of meal service. Contribute creative ideas for menu enhancements and presentation improvements. Assist in the training of new kitchen staff Participate in daily and weekly cleaning tasks to uphold kitchen hygiene standards. Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper handling of equipment, utensils, and ingredients. Stay updated on industry trends and new culinary techniques to continually improve skills and knowledge. Qualifications and Skills: Culinary diploma or relevant culinary education is preferred. Prior experience as a Commi 2 or CDP or Sous Chef or equivalent role is advantageous. Multicuisine Strong understanding of culinary techniques, food preparation, and presentation. Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure during peak hours. Attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality dishes. Effective communication skills and the ability to work well within a team. Flexibility in working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy pots or ingredients
