Overview

The Purchase Executive is a crucial role within our organization, responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing the supply of goods, materials, and services. They play a vital part in ensuring that our company has access to the resources it needs to operate efficiently and cost-effectively while maintaining high standards of quality and reliability in the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

  • Researching and identifying potential suppliers and vendors
  • Negotiating contracts, terms, and prices with suppliers
  • Ensuring that the purchasing process complies with company policies and procedures
  • Monitoring and forecasting upcoming levels of demand
  • Managing inventory levels and ensuring timely deliveries
  • Evaluating supplier performance and maintaining relationships
  • Tracking market trends and staying updated on industry developments
  • Collaborating with internal teams to understand their needs and requirements
  • Conducting cost and scenario analysis to make informed decisions
  • Resolving supply chain and delivery issues
  • Preparing and maintaining purchasing records and reports
  • Implementing strategies for cost-reduction and process improvement
  • Participating in the development of procurement policies and strategies
  • Ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards
  • Managing communication with stakeholders and vendors

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field
  • Proven work experience as a Purchase Executive or in a similar role
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes and practices
  • Excellent negotiation and networking skills
  • Proficiency in data analysis and market research
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Knowledge of inventory management and supply chain principles
  • Familiarity with relevant legal and regulatory requirements
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office and purchasing software
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
  • Adaptability and problem-solving abilities
  • Proven track record of achieving cost savings and process improvements
  • Professional certification in procurement or supply chain management is a plus
