Job Summary We're actively seeking a proficient and seasoned Senior Backend Engineer (SDE3) to strengthen our team. In this pivotal role, you'll play a crucial part in developing and delivering high-quality software solutions. The ideal candidate possesses expertise in serverless technologies, with hands-on experience in backend technologies such as server-side programming, databases, and cloud platforms like AWS. Proficiency in Node.js, along with experience in Elasticsearch and event-driven architectures, is preferred. A solid foundation in computer science and a minimum of 6 years' experience are essential, as is expertise in designing robust data structures and creating optimized solution architectures. Responsibilities Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and deliver high-quality software products. Implement and optimize serverless architectures on AWS Lambda for efficient resource utilization and cost-effectiveness. Architect event-driven systems and implement event-driven microservices using technologies like AWS Event-Bridge or Apache Kafka. Optimize data structures and algorithms for improved efficiency and scalability of backend systems. Utilize Elasticsearch for efficient indexing, searching, and analysis of large datasets. Ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of backend services by implementing best practices in coding, testing, and monitoring. Troubleshoot and debug issues in production environments, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption. Mentor junior team members, conduct code reviews, and contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and standards. Stay updated on emerging technologies, tools, and best practices in backend development, cloud computing, and serverless architectures. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field : A solid foundation in computer science principles is essential for this role. Minimum of 6 years of experience : Candidates should have extensive experience in backend development, including server-side programming, databases, and cloud platforms like AWS. Expertise in backend technologies : Proficiency in Node.js, Python, or similar languages is required for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend services. Experience with serverless architectures : Candidates should have hands-on experience implementing and optimizing serverless architectures on platforms like AWS Lambda. Familiarity with Elastic-Search : Experience using Elastic-Search for indexing, searching, and analyzing large datasets is preferred. Understanding of event-driven architectures : Candidates should have experience architecting event-driven systems and implementing event-driven microservices using technologies like AWS Event-Bridge or Apache Kafka. Strong problem-solving skills : The ability to troubleshoot and debug issues in production environments is crucial for ensuring the reliability and availability of backend services. Knowledge of data structures and algorithms : Candidates should have expertise in designing and optimizing data structures and algorithms for improved efficiency and scalability. Excellent communication and collaboration skills : The ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders is essential.
