Location: New Delhi
Salary: INR 20,000 to INR 25,000 per month
Position Overview We are seeking dedicated and experienced Captains to join our premier hotel in New Delhi. As a Captain, you will be a key part of our restaurant team, responsible for providing exemplary service to our guests. Key Responsibilities - Guest Reception: Warmly welcome guests, escort them to their tables, and provide menus. Assist with seating arrangements for special events or large parties.
- Order Management: Take precise orders from guests, answer questions about menu items, and provide recommendations. Ensure accurate order placement with the kitchen.
- Service Excellence: Oversee the service provided by the Stewards to ensure it meets the highest standards of courtesy, efficiency, and professionalism.
- Team Coordination: Collaborate with kitchen staff, bartenders, and Stewards to ensure the smooth flow of service. Communicate special requests and dietary restrictions to the kitchen.
- Table Maintenance: Ensure that tables are properly set up, including linens, silverware, and glassware. Monitor tables for guest needs and clear empty dishes promptly.
- Quality Control: Verify the presentation and quality of dishes before serving them to guests. Address any issues promptly and professionally.
- Payment Handling: Process guest payments accurately, including cash, credit cards, or other payment methods. Issue receipts and return change when necessary.
- Upselling: Suggest additional items, such as appetizers, beverages, or desserts, to enhance the guest experience and increase revenue.
- Safety and Hygiene: Strictly adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations, maintaining a clean and safe dining environment.
Qualifications And Requirements - Diploma in Hotel Management or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Captain or in a similar role in an upscale restaurant or hotel.
- Proficient in spoken English language.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Impeccable grooming and presentation.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
