Job description
Principal Accountabilities
Provide legal support and risk evaluation to relevant functions or factories, through
contract risk management
ensuring appropriate protection of intellectual property
identification and interpretation of applicable laws and regulations
policy interpretation, development and training
litigation and support for customer claims
negotiate and managing external legal fees within agreed budgets
provide legal support for major projects in the relevant factory as delegated by Counsel and manage the Factory Stakeholder maps
Establish a culture of compliance throughout the relevant factory through all forms of advice, communication, role modelling and training and includes:
overseeing corporate governance and compliance with law and policy
policy interpretation, development and training
Implementing effective compliance training programs for policies owned by the Legal function
Participate in and contribute to the Global Legal department s knowledge management and productivity-building initiatives as agreed with the Counsel on an annual basis

What you will bring

Legal experience, ideally in a large matrixed multinational company

Candidate Experience Profile
Education :
Postgraduate degree in Law from a recognized University
Experience :
At least 5 years Post Qualification experience as an in-house legal advisor in a large corporation with multiple locations and manufacturing facilities.
Experience in FMCG or Food companies preferred.
