Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role based in Pune for a Mechanical Design Manager. The Mechanical Design Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day mechanical design activities across all business domains. The job includes leading design teams, providing technical guidance, and ensuring compliance with EPHL's standards and policies. The manager will also be responsible for project management, liaising with cross-functional teams, and developing design strategies for different products.

Qualifications

• Machine Design and Mechanical Engineering skills
• Design Management, Team Management, and Project Management skills
• Experience in managing and leading cross-functional teams
• Hands-on experience in using CAD/CAE tools and software
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 15+ years of experience in mechanical design and development, with at least 5 years of experience in a managerial role
• Experience in the metal forming industry is a plus
• Understanding customer/market requirement and leading new machine/model development
• Work on new concept development
• Converting concept to working model using 3D software
• Engineering calculations and optimization
• Component sizing and selection
• Modifications in existing products for performance improvement and cost optimization
• Design/drawing checking of sub-ordinates/peers
• Design support in order finalization/project execution
