Mission of the Role: Drive gaming excellence in Visteon's Android Infotainment System as a pivotal member of the IVI & CDC team. Innovate, design, and optimize features, leveraging expertise in mobile gaming, robust Android development skills, and creative flair to elevate user experience.
Key Objectives of this Role:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to craft and implement cutting-edge gaming features for Android infotainment systems, amplifying entertainment value and aligning with product strategy.
Innovate and integrate captivating games seamlessly into the Android infotainment system, ensuring compatibility across diverse devices and Android versions.
Elevate gaming performance through bottleneck identification and resolution, guaranteeing a flawless gameplay experience.
Collaborate closely with Android development and UX/UI teams to integrate gaming functionalities seamlessly, utilizing voice, gesture, location, and hard buttons for an immersive user experience.
Own the enhancement of gaming-related user experience, providing creative solutions to boost engagement and satisfaction.
Author comprehensive documentation for gaming features, encompassing design specifications, implementation details, and troubleshooting guides.
Drive prototype development and execute feasibility studies to inform strategic decision-making.
Conduct market research to stay ahead of industry trends and advancements.
Proactively gather necessary inputs to fulfill responsibilities effectively.
Assume accountability for optimizing gaming performance and overseeing rigorous testing processes to identify and rectify any issues affecting stability.
Key Performance Indicators:
Implementing the Games to meet all KPI and Compute requirements.
Measure the time taken to identify and resolve bugs or issues related to gaming features.
Effective documentation of design information and communication.
Assess the successful integration of gaming features across various Android products and versions, minimizing compatibility issues and ensuring a seamless user experience.
Ensuring compliance to organization process practices.
Key Year One Deliverables:
Qualification, Experience and Skills:
8-14 years of experience on Android gaming development, with focus on Android Applications, graphics, and user experience and with a portfolio of successful projects
Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Strong Java / Kotlin, C++ programming skills.
Solid understanding of mobile gaming trends, technologies, and best practices.
Familiarity with 3D graphics programming, OpenGL, and other relevant technologies.
Experience with game engines such as Unity, Godot or Unreal Engine is a plus.
Hands on troubleshooting issues on run-time environment.
Strong communication and inter-personal skills.
Creative problem-solver capable of creating and reproducing complex software defects.
Knowledge of process models (e.g. Automotive SPICE®)
