Job Title : Deputy Plant Head Department : Manufacturing(Aluminum Formwork) Location : Talegaon, Pune Job Purpose:
The Deputy Plant Head is responsible for assisting the Plant Head in overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of the manufacturing plant. This role involves leadership, strategic planning, and effective execution to ensure the plant's overall success in meeting production targets, quality standards, and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities: 1. Operational Leadership: • Collaborate with the Plant Head to develop and implement strategic plans and operational policies for the manufacturing plant. • Provide leadership and guidance to the production team, ensuring that production schedules are met efficiently and safely. • Oversee daily plant operations to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards. • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and optimize manufacturing processes. 2. Production Planning and Execution: • Assist in the development of production schedules and ensure timely execution to meet customer demands. • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and production metrics, taking corrective actions as necessary to achieve targets. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address production issues and implement solutions. 3. Quality Control: • Work closely with the quality assurance team to maintain and improve product quality standards. • Implement and monitor quality control processes to ensure adherence to specifications and customer requirements. • Address any quality concerns promptly and implement corrective actions. 4. Resource Management: • Manage and optimize the utilization of resources, including manpower, equipment, and materials. • Collaborate with the HR department for workforce planning, recruitment, training, and performance management. • Oversee maintenance activities to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime. 5. Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance: • Uphold and enforce safety standards to create a secure working environment for all employees. • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and implement sustainable practices. 6. Communication and Reporting: • Regularly communicate with the Plant Head and other department heads to provide updates on plant performance and issues. • Prepare and present reports on key performance indicators, production targets, and efficiency metrics. Qualifications and Experience: • Experience in Fabrication Industry is Must . Candidates with Formwork experience will be preferred. • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.(BE.Mech). MBA in Production/Operations will be in added advantage. • Proven experience in manufacturing operations, with a minimum of 15+ years of Experience in Fabrication & Plant Operations. • Strong knowledge of production processes, quality control, and safety standards. • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions. • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.Job tags
