Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Quality Engineer located in Pune. The Quality Engineer will be responsible for day-to-day quality engineering tasks associated with product quality, including quality control, quality assurance, and quality management.

Job Overview: As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing quality control systems to ensure the efficient production of high-quality products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve quality issues, implement process improvements, and maintain compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Quality Control:

· Develop and implement quality control processes and procedures to ensure product quality.

· Conduct inspections and tests on raw materials, in-process components, and finished products.

· Analyze and interpret quality data to identify trends and areas for improvement.

2. Process Improvement:

· Identify opportunities for process improvements and work with cross-functional teams to implement changes.

· Conduct root cause analysis for quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.

3. Documentation:

· Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of quality control activities, including test results, inspection reports, and corrective actions.

· Prepare and update quality manuals, procedures, and work instructions.

4. Collaboration:

· Collaborate with engineering, production, and other departments to address quality issues and drive continuous improvement.

· Participate in cross-functional teams for new product development and process validation.

5. Compliance:

· Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and customer requirements.

· Stay current with industry trends and changes in quality standards.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.

2. Proven experience as a Quality Engineer in a manufacturing or production environment.

3. Strong knowledge of quality control principles, methodologies, and tools.

4. Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

6. Effective communication and collaboration skills.

7. Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.

Preferred Skills:

1. Six Sigma or Lean certification.

2. Experience with statistical analysis tools.

3. Knowledge of risk management and FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis).
