Job description
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Project Technician with experience in IT networking and ELV systems to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting structured cabling systems and IT devices. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a customer-focused approach to ensure the seamless operation of our clients networks and ELV systems.
Key Responsibilities: - Install, terminate, and test structured cabling systems, including copper and fiber optic cables, patch panels, and cable trays, according to industry standards and specifications.
- Install and configure various IT devices and equipment, including switches, routers, access points, and network cameras, ensuring proper connectivity and functionality.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to plan and execute IT infrastructure installations and upgrades.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to structured cabling and IT devices, both on-site and remotely.
- Provide technical support and assistance to clients during the installation and configuration of IT infrastructure components.
- Maintain accurate documentation of installations, configurations, and service records.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while working on-site to ensure personal safety and the safety of others.
Requirements - Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in installing and maintaining structured cabling systems and IT devices.
- Proficiency in installing, terminating, and testing copper and fiber optic cables.
- Hands-on experience with configuring and deploying switches, routers, access points, and network cameras.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel to project sites and stay as necessary.
