About Our Client Our client is a leading conglomerate with business across 10+ industries Job Description Reporting to the the group general counsel you will be reponsible for:
To provide professional leadership in legal, compliance and arbitration strategies along with risk management measures in conjunction with functional and business leaders and with appointed external legal advisors.
To deal independently with corporate cases, arbitration, legal disputes, power / electricity matters in India and matters related thereto.
Handle issues/disputes related to Foreign Trade Policy, DGFT, SEZ related matters, Mining Law - MMDR Act and procedure.
Drive dealing with Civil, company laws, Criminal laws, labor laws and other allied matters
Co-ordination and regular correspondences with statutory authorities and others.
In Finalization and vetting various agreements with suppliers, contractors and others.
Review and advise purchase departments of Rain and its subsidiary companies on the inclusion of various terms and conditions in purchase and service orders.
Identify and appoint reputed law firms for managing the company cases in different courts of law. Need to have well versed with competencies and expertise of various law firms in India
Regular interaction and provide inputs to our Advocates for the various cases pending before the High Courts and Supreme Courts and other judicial or quasi-judicial bodie
Take lead in finalizing contracts for ensuring compliance with Company's Contracting Procedures (including use of the Company's standard terms and conditions for various business transactions).
Responsible for drafting, reviewing and negotiating a variety of business operations contracts, including (but not limited to) contracts relating to:
direct procurement (i.e., purchase of raw materials from suppliers),
indirect procurement (i.e., purchase of goods and services from vendors),
finished product sale contracts to customers,
logistics and/or transportation agreements, and
non-disclosure agreements.

Legal Compliance:
Create a robust framework relating to legal compliances to be adhere by the company and ensure zero deviation
Periodic MIS on status of legal cases, arbitration and compliance of legal statutory requirements
