Lead Animator to join our dynamic Marketing Creative Services team in Bangaloreon a hybrid basis

About this Role: As the Lead Animator, you'll be integral in bringing Monopoly GO's characters to life with a distinctive, stylized animation style. Working closely with the Creative Director and the BCN Lead Animator, your collaborative efforts will be essential in capturing the distinctive spirit of the game. Your responsibilities extend beyond guiding and mentoring the animation team; you're also in charge of managing the production of trailers and advertisements from Bangalore to ensure they are delivered on time and meet our high standards.
Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities, both technical and artistic, are crucial in this role. You'll be hands-on in building projects from provided storyboards, fine-tuning them to perfection. We highly value an optimistic outlook and resilience under pressure, especially when facing tight deadlines and complex troubleshooting.

What You'll Do In this role, you will focus on creating captivating cinematic trailers and advertising content for our popular mobile game, Monopoly GO. Your creative vision and leadership skills will be instrumental in defining and enhancing the game's visual identity in the marketing domain.
- Lead the creation of both cartoony and realistic animations using Maya for game advertising, trailers, and social media content
- Collaborate with the Creative Director, offering feedback and guidance to our Artists
- Manage team assignments and take charge of meeting project deadlines
- Innovate by identifying and implementing best practices, workflows, and new tools to elevate our animation quality
- Provide technical support in Maya and Unreal Engine 5, creatively navigating technical challenges
- Ensure attention to detail in a collaborative, feedback-rich environment
- Oversee assets, providing feedback to riggers and modelers
- Excel in problem-solving and troubleshooting
- Foster a collaborative atmosphere within a diverse creative team
- Deliver organized, optimized projects and shots
- Review and approve models and rigs for upcoming projects
- Maintain a positive attitude, even under challenging circumstances
- Lead the team effectively, with or without direct supervision
- Manage feedback and troubleshooting while keeping team morale high
- Mentor and develop animators
What We're Looking For - Proven experience leading teams in a production environment
- Advanced proficiency in Maya
- At least 4-5 years of experience in animation within entertainment, advertising, or gaming, preferably as a Lead Animator
- Expertise in creating dynamic, cartoony animations for various character types
- In-depth knowledge of character rigs, game animation pipelines, and integration into game engines
- Proven problem-solving skills in production and technical areas
- Strong storytelling skills, with a good grasp of cinematic language and timing
- Proficiency in Autodesk Maya, with knowledge of Unreal and Unity engines
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Team-oriented, collaborative, and organized
Brownie Points - Skills in 3D Modeling and rigging
- Scripting abilities in Mel/Python
- Experience with Unreal or other real-time engines
- Background in creating User Acquisition ads and game trailers
- Artistic skills
- A patient and collaborative spirit
