Job description
- Supports the global Ethics and Compliance Program.
- Assists with the implementation and maintenance of compliance policies.
- Prepares reports on metrics and key performance indicators.
- Runs reports on investigation case statistics leveraging the central case management system.
- Supports monitoring and risk assessment processes and their documentation.
- Runs third party risk screens and supports the review of monitoring hits in the third-party risk screening tool.
- Supports deployment of global Compliance e-learnings.
- Support to Legal team:
- Assist legal counsels in India and paralegals.
- Support as back up in absence of a paralegal/admin in the team (take over roles and responsibilities for a certain period when required)
- Ad Hoc Admin support , e.g. support in arranging signatures, archiving, creation of templates.
- Support to Intellectual Property team:
- NDA handling and review.
- Administering inventor rewards.
- Manages patent and trademark annuities and payments.
- Across LCI team support:
- Manages vendor PO and invoice process.
- Maintains LCI BeHub pages to ensure information is up to date.
II. ESSENTIAL SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
- Bachelors degree in Legal Practice and solid experience as a Paralegal in a law firm or audit firm with focus on corporate law or company (preferably publicly traded).
- Discrete and able to handle sensitive and confidential information.
- Organizational strong with an eye for detail, able to handle different tasks at the same time and set priorities to meet (very) short deadlines.
- Eager to learn, stress resistant and flexible.
- Strong communication skills in order to build and maintain a strong international network within Bekaert.
- Accurate and eye for details; able to work independently as well as in a team.
- Knowledge of languages: English (both written and spoken); knowledge of another language is a plus.
- Good knowledge of MS Office; knowledge of SharePoint and other IT tools are required.
- Sense of humour is required.
