We seek a passionate, experienced Software Test Engineer who thrives in a highly collaborative, distributed team environment to join our Email Security product team. We hire individuals who strongly emphasize product testing and automation using the latest tools and technology to empower the product-led growth (PLG) initiative.

The right candidate will have extensive experience in test case development and execution, managing test environments, and measuring test coverage for the customer journeys defined by the PLG team working with Product Managers and Software development engineers in the agile development environment.

Our products are built using modern technologies and languages and deployed to AWS (Amazon Web Services) or Azure via a mature CI/CD pipeline. At Barracuda, Quality, Performance, monitoring, and observability are first-class citizens in our ecosystem.

What you will be working on:

• Define test scopes, plans, and cases for customer journeys across a full-featured SaaS (Software as a Service) Email Protection Solution.
• Execute the test cases periodically, report issues using JIRA, and help the product team reproduce and validate the fix.
• Perform test coverage gap analysis based on reported product issues.
• Develop test automation using tools such as Mabl, Selenium, and Cucumber when necessary.
• Participate in scrum-related activities with the Product Manager and Team, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, task prioritization, and Sprint retro activities.

 

What you bring to the role:

• Strong experience in identifying test cases based on requirements, creating test plans, executing the test cases, and managing test cases and results using 3rd party tools.
• Experience in using REST APIs for microservices and API tools such as Swagger or Postman
• Proven ability to work cross-functionally with Product Managers, Designers, Developers, Security, and Compliance professionals.
• Bachelor’s degree in technology or equivalent work experience
