Short Brief on re: Short Brief : PAN India Support - Hardware & Networking
Key Responsibilities:
Directs IT team and IT support staff in the Planning, Procurement, Implementation, Integration, and
support of Voice and Data network hardware and software, and performance of routine maintenance.
Monitor performance tuning and capacity planning activities to enhance the performance of the
network resources with minimal downtime to the users.
Monitor routine backups and archival of files stored on the network and to assist in recovery efforts as
required.
Evaluate various hardware, software, and service resources to identify strengths, weaknesses, and
potential benefits to the business and take it up with concerned teams internally to complete the
process.
Perform maintenance of LAN and WANs in consultation with local/CMA regional team and in doing so
provide an effective, reliable, and secure communications infrastructure.
Co-ordinate with Third Party vendors in resolving and trouble-shooting hardware/software at
server level including administration of SQL database/s as required.
Assist in procurement of new information systems or IT infrastructure and develop business
cases as appropriate.
Monitors the preparation and analysis of statistics on system and network utilization and
availability.
Liaise with vendors, clients, management, and negotiate technology procurements and contracts.
Prepare and effectively manages budgets for IT during hardware procurement in co-ordination with
Regional/ HO Procurement teams.
Monitor and Analyzes user support statistics and implement appropriate measures.
Develops and maintains system and network documentation including schematics and user guides
Plans remote and on-site support, selects qualified personnel for level of support, and supervise training
to existing and new personnel as required.

Plan and monitor upgradation schedules of hardware and software in liaison with support vendors.
Assist the IT Support team with installations of network servers, network equipment and
telephony equipment during project work and/or to carry work out of hours.
Ensure to capture, prioritize, escalate and solve project problems in an organized manner with relevant
stakeholders.
Maintain confidentiality about the information being processed, stored, or accessed by the network.
Knowledge about Data Security would be preferred.
Ready to complete work/projects during non-working hours and take travel schedules as and when
required by the IT team.

Requirement and Specific Skills:
. Graduate with experience of at least 5 years of experience in IT related field.
. Advance Diploma in Computer Science or Networking technologies from a recognized
Institute/University.
. ITIL Practitioner (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) certified candidates would be
preferred.
. Good knowledge in handling of Voice and Data telecommunications systems along with
performance tuning.
. Ability to maintain good rapport and communication with Internal and external stakeholders.
. Knowledge and experience of networking technology, from physical infrastructure
components to application-level communications.
. Knowledge and experience in TCP/IP, and other current industry standard networking/telephony
protocols.
. Knowledge and experience in LINUX and latest MS-Windows Operating Systems
. Knowledge and experience in Microsoft Exchange, O365 and other enterprise messaging systems
like IMAP.
. Knowledge in Server and client virtualization like VMWare.
. Knowledge on implementation of BCP/ DRS processes.
. Prefer to have knowledge and experience in Project Planning, Implementation and Management.
. Knowledge of PMP would be advantageous.
. Demonstrate commitment to all stakeholders with excellent communication skills.
. Ability to be pro-active and take informed decisions.
