Role Summary: As the Director of Project Management Office, your role will be pivotal in overseeing, refining, and enhancing our project management processes across all teams. You will be responsible for defining and implementing best practices, developing robust reporting mechanisms, tracking project health and metrics, and providing leadership to your direct reports. Your ability to effectively manage risks, streamline communication, and contribute to the hiring and training processes will be critical to the successful execution of projects and overall functioning of the department. We are seeking a capable, friendly and collaborative individual who is committed to contributing to a positive team culture. The ideal candidate should have excellent interpersonal skills and a strong ability to build and maintain positive relationships with team members.

Major Responsibilities: Review and enhance all organisational processes Define communication touch points to ensure effective and efficient operations Define management reports that pinpoint and communicate issues and progress Oversee the company’s Project Management initiatives to ensure optimal effectiveness Provide guidance, coaching and performance feedback to direct reports

Job Responsibilities: Review, refine, and ensure the consistent application of current project management processes across all teams and projects. Define the company's standard process with checks and balances in place to catch and rectify deviations early. Identify factors necessitating customisation or alteration of the standard process for specific projects or needs. Determine the approval of such exceptions and establish alternate procedures if necessary to uphold the quality and safety of our delivery. Document and facilitate the process for communication touch points within your team and with external teams. Establish and evolve formal processes, ensuring the team's adherence to industry-accepted best practices. Oversee the development and application of metrics, best industry practices, and new tools and processes to achieve quality goals. Define the status reporting mechanism using company-recommended tools and ensure user-friendly dashboards displaying the current project state are available for all projects. Oversee project milestones and objectives, including system and process requirements, developing solutions, performing cost analyses, and managing approved efforts to successful completion. Be accountable for project health, metrics, ROI, communications, and reporting. Use data to illustrate the narrative of both the projects and the success of the office. Develop and implement robust operating mechanisms to support successful program execution. Benchmark these against industry best practices and continuously improve our project/program management methodologies in terms of speed, cost, and quality. Track and manage delivery and resourcing risks, ensuring appropriate mitigation plans are developed and executed as needed. Participate in the hiring process of skilled Project Management team members. Provide department-specific orientation and training for new hires. Maintain open lines of communication with internal teams.

Requirements: A Senior project manager leading multiple projects in parallel, who should have led a team of Project Managers in a similar role. Software and management background (formal or possibly informal) Proven experience in successfully doing this in a multi-team environment. Demonstrated experience in process improvement within mid-sized organisations. Exceptional communication skills Excellent interpersonal skills. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is preferred.

Qualifications & Experience: Any Graduate / Post graduate with 15+ years of overall experience in project management and technology with at least 6+ years in a project management role
