Job description
The role of Associate Manager Package Design and development will be Designing of Packaging commodities specifications, bill of material, artworks etc Design of packaging process for required product-packaging configurations
Manage packaging development activities for changes to on-market products and new product launches.
Responsible for Cost improvement projects such as localization of packaging commodities.
Responsible for Investigation related to packaging (including filling stoppering, Visual Inspection, Labeling Packing) issues.
Work with operation / Opex team and identify improvement projects and implement the same at site.
Prepare and review specifications, Testing Parameters, Bill of Materials, Packaging configuration, MPRs, Technical data, Gap assessment, Risk Assessment, Technical documents from originating site, Labels, Barcodes, Artworks for Pre-Exhibit, Exhibit.
Coordinate with internal departments like Purchase, Analytical RD, Production, Quality Control, Regulatory Affairs, Quality Assurance, Project Management, Engineering etc, for seamless Technology Transfer.
Coordinate with external customers, Service providers, vendors etc
Technical support to production-packing Team for smooth launching of products.
Establish of Packaging development laboratory, procure testing equipment and maintenance of equipment.
Ensure compliance to cGLP/ cGMP, Organizations, Procedures and Practices.
Ensure all the safety precautions are implemented in the premises.
Monitoring of Process validation batches - filling, Visual Inspection, Labeling and packing.
Monitoring of exhibit batches - filling, Visual Inspection, Labeling and packing.
Support to production-packing teams for new equipment s/machinery - FAT/SAT/URS /Qualification.
Qualifications
Must-Have
Bachelor s degree of engineering or science / PG Diploma in Packaging Technology (preferably from Indian Institute of Packaging, India) .
Strong MS Office Skills, ie Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Experience with package labeling requirements with specific regard to serialization, trade dress alignment, Batch variable imprinting methods and their impact on operations.
. 5 to 8 Years Experience.
Nice-to-Have
Understanding of continuous improvement and Statistical Process Control methodology for problem solving (eg Method 1 - DMAIC, Six Sigma etc).
Familiarity with a variety of package performance testing equipment and methods, and with regional pharmaceutical compendia testing requirements.
