Head of Software Engineering Company: Eloit Innovations Private Limited Location: Kochi, Kerala About the Job: Eloit Innovations is on the lookout for a strategic Head of Engineering who possesses a profound experience in developing scalable B2B SaaS products, a solid grasp of AI technologies, and a rich background in software development and architecture. This pivotal role involves steering our engineering team and guiding the technical development of our flagship product, Edisapp School ERP, to ensure it meets our strategic objectives and business needs. In this capacity, you will employ your expertise in backend technologies such as .Net core, C#, ASP.NET, MVC, Node.js, Python, and AI, along with a comprehensive understanding of software development practices and a familiarity with Azure Cloud Platforms, to direct our technological advancements. Responsibilities: Formulate and execute the technical strategy and vision for the development of our product, aligning with the company's business goals. Lead the engineering team, promoting an environment of innovation and collaboration. Regularly assess and introduce new technologies, including AI, to enhance our product features and operational efficiency. Utilize AI tools and GPTs to boost software engineering efficiency and productivity, streamlining development processes and enhancing Edisapp's capabilities. Guarantee the product's compliance with all pertinent security and regulatory standards. Work closely with the executive leadership to define technical initiatives, timelines, and resource allocation. Engage with marketing, sales, and customer support teams to ensure the product fulfils market and customer requirements. Spearhead our presence in industry forums and conferences to keep pace with technological advancements. Oversee the deployment of new functionalities and platform updates. Develop DevOps strategies to enhance the software development lifecycle. Lead continuous improvement efforts within the engineering department, fostering a culture of excellence and agility. Commit to the continuous professional development of team members, providing access to training and conferences to stay ahead of industry trends. Define clear success metrics for the role, including product delivery timelines, quality benchmarks, team satisfaction, and customer engagement impact. Regularly assess and introduce new technologies to enhance product features and operational efficiency, ensuring compliance with security and regulatory standards. Work closely with the executive team on technical initiatives, timelines, and resource allocation, ensuring product meets market and customer requirements. Manage the engineering department's budget, optimizing resources and investments to ensure efficient operation within financial constraints. Foster a culture of sustainability and ethical practices in software development, adhering to data privacy laws and ethical AI use. Enhance communication and relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including investors, partners, and the tech community. Essential Requirements: Over 10 years of experience in technology roles, including significant leadership experience in engineering or development positions. Demonstrated expertise in backend technologies (.Net core, C#, ASP.NET, MVC, Node.js, Python) and AI. Strong background in software development and architecture. Proficiency with Azure Cloud Platforms and CI/CD methodologies. Track record of developing and scaling B2B SaaS products. Comprehensive experience in delivering high-quality products from concept to iteration. Skilled in assembling, mentoring, and leading top-tier engineering teams. Proven ability to manage large-scale project deliveries. Understanding of front-end development principles and practices. Expertise in DevOps, scalable web applications, and microservices architecture. Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
