Job description

Position Summary:

As the Head of Procurement, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the sourcing and procurement functions for Nomad Pizza.

Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of raw materials, ingredients, and supplies necessary for our pizza production.

You will collaborate closely with suppliers, manage vendor relationships, and implement procurement strategies to optimize cost savings and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1.

Strategic Sourcing:

·

Develop and implement strategic procurement plans aligned with the company's overall objectives.

·

Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability criteria.

·

Negotiate favourable terms and conditions with suppliers to maximize value for the organization.

2.

Vendor Management:

·

Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure a consistent and reliable supply chain.

·

Conduct regular supplier performance evaluations and implement improvement plans as needed.

·

Address and resolve any issues related to quality, delivery, or pricing with suppliers.

3.

Cost Optimization:

·

Analyze market trends and conditions to identify cost-saving opportunities.

·

Implement effective cost management strategies without compromising quality standards.

·

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for cost reduction and process improvement.

4.

Quality Assurance:

·

Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to establish and maintain high-quality standards for all procured materials.

·

Monitor and enforce compliance with food safety and quality standards throughout the supply chain.

5.

Team Leadership:

·

Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing procurement team.

·

Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture.

·

Provide guidance and support in professional development and goal achievement.

6.

Contract Management:

·

Oversee the drafting and negotiation of supplier contracts and agreements.

·

Ensure contract compliance and manage contract renewals as needed.

Qualifications:

·

Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.

·

Proven experience in procurement, sourcing, and vendor management within the food industry.

·

Strong negotiation skills and a track record of achieving cost savings.

·

Excellent leadership and team management skills.

·

In-depth knowledge of supply chain processes and best practices.

·

Familiarity with food safety and quality standards.
