Job description
A highly experienced Senior Quality Automator resource to join our quality team. The candidate must have an automation first mindset, and demonstrates a solid understanding of all types of testing. We are using Playwright with Typescript for our UI automation and we are currently designing our API framework. Someone who has focused on creating API frameworks would be an ideal candidate.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Collaborate with teams to develop and promote quality assurance processes and systems to improve overall quality
Develop intelligent and efficient testing strategies to dramatically increase the ratio of internally found defects versus customer-reported defect
Review test strategies developed by others and provide feedback to ensure test coverage
Drive test automation to occur in sprint
Develop and maintain automated tests for new and existing tests to increase automated test coverage
Plan and perform functional, load, and performance testing, keeping pace with the Agile team and reporting and finding issues
Estimate testing requirements for input into planning efforts
Enhance the test case library to increase test case coverage
Strive to ensure quality releases of software with no production downs and/or critical impediments to users
Mentor emerging automation talent among our quality engineers
Required Experience:
Bachelors Degree in computer science or related field
10+ years of experience working with web applications andor SaaS applications in an agilescrum environment with increasingly challenging assignments
10+ years of experience in automation framework development & test automation (Playwright, Selenium, JavaScript, Python)
Experience testing web services
Experience with automated testing in continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) environments
Experience with relational database systems, including SQL query development
Experience with performance testing and pressure testing
Must be self-directed with a high degree of initiative
Must have experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Problem solving skills and an ability to think outside the box
