Job description
**Job Summary:**
As a photo editor, you will be responsible for selecting, editing, and enhancing photographs to meet the specific requirements of projects or publications. You will work closely with photographers, graphic designers, and other team members to ensure high-quality visual content that aligns with the brand's aesthetic and messaging.
**Responsibilities:**
1. Selecting and curating photographs for use in various projects, including digital and print media.
2. Editing and retouching images to enhance their quality, composition, and impact.
3. Collaborating with photographers and designers to achieve the desired visual outcome.
4. Ensuring that all images meet quality and brand standards.
5. Managing and organizing digital image files for easy retrieval and use.
6. Keeping up-to-date with industry trends and technological advancements in photography and editing software.
7. Communicating effectively with team members to understand project requirements and deadlines.
8. Adhering to copyright laws and obtaining necessary permissions for image use.
**Qualifications:**
1. Proven experience as a photo editor or similar role.
2. Proficiency in photo editing software such as Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, or equivalent.
3. Strong eye for detail and composition.
4. Excellent understanding of color correction, image manipulation, and retouching techniques.
5. Knowledge of photography principles and techniques.
6. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
7. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
8. A portfolio showcasing previous work is often required.
**Education:**
A degree in photography, visual arts, graphic design, or a related field is preferred but not always required. Relevant experience and a strong portfolio may be considered in place of formal education.
**Additional Information:**
