About New Initiatives Vertical:
Porter is a leading player in Intra City Trucking and 2 Wheeler Business. With a strong product-market fit for these use cases, Porter has naturally discovered additional logistical needs of SMEs and retail customers. The company believes that it is best suited to fulfill these needs and aims to become a comprehensive app for logistics. The New Initiatives team is responsible for driving these efforts and scaling them up, focusing on three key themes currently:
- Movers and Packers : Driving Porters positioning of more than a vehicle providing app. It ventures into various services which users need along with core truck offerings.
- Intercity Courier: The Intercity initiative seeks to transform Porter from an intra-city platform to an inter and intra-city platform capable of delivering anything, from anywhere to anywhere.
- Porter Assist: Porter has effectively been able to solve for the vehicle needs of the market and is the leader in the category across Indian Geography. Our wallet share expansion would come from building service focused flows for the customer where Porter will deliver a service to the customer than only a vehicle to self manage.
About the Leader and leadership style:
Rahul Agrawal leads New Initiatives. He is objective driven and approaches challenges with a strategic mindset, prioritizing problem-solving and measurable outcomes. Porter Assist Expectations-
- Build Service driven PMFs for the customers ( SME as well as Retail). It would require in-depth discovery of problem statements and effective solutioning.
- Build and maintain high service experience across customers and partners.
- Significantly strengthen the positioning of Porter as a superapp app for logistical needs.
- Increase wallet share from existing customers and partner earnings.
Additional Role Expectations:
- Directional Leadership : Review product initiatives across other thread of New Initiatives to help build the right product culture & raise the bar on product execution
OKR's of the roles -
- Product Market Fit Metrics : Conversion, Retention and customer and partner coordination calls.
- Experience metrics: Customer NPS, Partner NPS, Order hygiene
- P&L metric Metric: Revenue, Orders, GM, CM and EBITDA
- Delivery Quality: On time Go-Lives. High iteration rate of a particular solve.
