EXL is seeking a Front-end Java Developer to work on from UI development and support Business Intelligence efforts. The successful candidate will have a strong background in JavaScript and interactive design with passion for perfection. The candidate will be responsible for coordinating, planning, designing and overseeing development of Java-based applications and software for various corporate customers and business units using shared infrastructure.
The person in this role will work with business partners to create user information solutions through the development, implementation, and maintenance of Java-based components and interfaces.
Responsibilities - Deliver best in class Java-based applications that can be high-volume and low-latency and provide thought leadership and technical consultation to various customers the team supports.
- Analyze, study and understand user requirements to define business objectives, user task flows and objectives and create pixel perfect design solutions using HTML and CSS.
- Develop multiple prototypes, mock-ups and conceptualization of ideas that bring simplicity and context to complex design challenges.
- Conducting software analysis, programming, testing, and debugging using JavaScript.
- Identify and resolve any technical issues arising and provide support.
- Oversee and curate various project deliverables to ensure adherence to initial design and best practices.
- Provide technical guidance and support for various points of integration with other technologies and mobile capabilities.
Qualifications - BTech/BE in Computer Science, IT, ECE, Data Analytics, other Software Engineering Fields.
- 3-6 years relevant experience in JAVA and JavaScript
- 3-6 years of SQL, product implementation, system integration or development experience
- Highly proficient in JAVA, JavaScript, HTML and CSS
- Basic Understanding of the concepts of MVC ( Model-View-Controller) Pattern, JDBC (Java Database Connectivity), and RESTful web services
- Experience writing SQL queries, stored procedures, knowledge of SSIS will be added advantage.
- Prior experience in any front-end application development (HTML, CSS, jQuery)
- Knowledge of Power BI is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills , ability to multi-task and work collaboratively.
- Proven ability to work well with technical and non-technical staff across numerous areas.
- Comfortable learning new technologies rapidly
- Consistent problem-solving ability with acute attention to detail and sharp analytical skills
- Must be able to clearly document functional requirements and technical solutions.
- Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills.
