JOB PURPOSE

This resource is critical to support the business pipeline and growth projects related to field requests (TSR) from marketing and commercial teams. The primary purpose of this role is to work in collaboration with Business/Field Marketing teams and provide CAE based molding insights that differentiates SHPP as solution provider. This role involves extensive use of Moldflow CAE tool to provide technical solutions to optimize the part design for efficient molding that enables specifications of SHPP resins and grow the business. The person should be able to handle multiple projects, proactively communicate the progress to stake holders without any compromise on quality of the deliverables. They should be able to work independently and provide solutions through part design, tooling, material and/or processing alternatives. They should have good expertise in one of design tools such as Solidworks, CATIA and FE mesh preparation tools like Hypermesh. They are also expected to collaborate with other team members.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Independently lead and execute the Moldflow CAE project. Write technical reports capturing insights to share with customers globally.

Work with global Field sales/marketing team and interface seamlessly with global customers, collecting information on projects and ensuring quality and timely execution of project deliverables.

Redesign using CAD tools/Hypermesh (FE model) to provide alternate solutions to meet the project CTQs.

 

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & JOB REQUIREMENTS

BE/ME with experience/specialization in any one of the disciplines such as design, CAE, tooling, polymer processing, plastic materials required. Good understanding of injection molding process is recommended
Minimum of 2 to 6 of industry relevant exp. with having worked hands-on with similar projects of providing CAE based technical solutions. 
Good understanding about assumptions /limitations of CAE tools like Moldflow, interpretation of results and their physical meaning. Self-driven and ability to take initiatives to provide design suggestions/alternatives 
Meshing using Hypermesh and Moldflow CAE analysis and report-out. Understanding of other advanced molding technologies like Gas-assist, Inj.-Compression, Metal Insert molding, etc. will be an added advantage.
Ability to make good informative technical reports to convey the CAE analysis insights impactfully. Basic CAD expertise using Solidworks/CATIA
Independently lead Moldflow CAE projects and provide comprehensive technical solutions. 
Experience in Design, tooling, polymer processing. Exposure to practical injection molding would be an added advantage.
Ability to think creatively and communicate complex technical ideas effectively.
