Job description
This position involves the responsibility of Implementation of high-quality automation projects to improve operational efficiency & Ensure implementation and maintenance of site IT/data security systems
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting to Precision Genomics Lead, getting guidance on daily planning and execution of the tasks related to equipment maintenance, automation projects to ensure 100% lab uptime as per the KPIs to enable the quality lab data delivery (Entomology & genotyping) to regional and global stakeholders.
Contributes to build an open, transparent, and empowered culture through demonstration of openness & inclusivity in execution of the projects with other team members, assists Jr and Sr. scientist day to day delivery of the projects
Models a behavior of high standards through teamwork, work ethics, individual goal setting, personal development and creates a culture of quality, safety, and diversity
Regularly updates self and others in the team on latest technology trends, through group learning, to upskill self and others
Collaborate with automation engineer, precision genomics & entomology teams in identifying automation needs to drive process efficiencies by implementing custom automations
Perform scheduled predictive and preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and project support of instrumentation equipment
Represent the site on Information/data security related issues & collaborate with site IT & network teams in implementation and maintenance of site Information/data security related systems
Adopt & follow company safety policies, protocols, procedures, and ensure a safe working environment for all team members
Demonstrate ability and willingness to learn and carry out diverse activities in modern genomics techniques
Manage time to complete all the activities as per the plan and actual schedule to be able to adhere to necessary KPIs
WHO YOU ARE:
Master's or Bachelor's degree in engineering (Electronics/Computer Science/Mechanical) with 2 - 3 years' experience in implementing python based custom automation, with expert level proficiency in data analysis and visualization. Experience in IT/Network related experience is an added advantage.
