Job description

Job Summary: Planning, developing, maintaining, tuning and troubleshooting of database systems.

Job Responsibility:

Design logical and physical data models
Ensure database optimization, integrity, consistency, security and privacy.
Providing support, guidance and collaborating with Application Developers to implement database design, and review their work to ensure correct implementation.
Create scripts to build new database objects.
Develop stored procedures, functions, packages, triggers and views using T-SQL.
Assist with schema design, code review and SQL query tuning.
Participate in SQL code reviews, write and deploy SQL patches.
Solve database usage issues and malfunctions.
Perform capacity planning to ensure the database infrastructure meets current and future demands.
Error reporting.

Specification / Skills / Experience:

In addition to possessing good communication skills, being self-motivated, focused on delivery and paying attention to detail, the candidate should have excellent knowledge and experience in the following technologies/areas:

Primary Skills (Must have):

Advanced knowledge and experience in PGSQL
Database administration experience, including knowing the basics of — users, permission, backups, recovery, monitoring, and performance tuning.
Working knowledge on complex SQL queries, stored procedures/functions, Partitioning.
Strong data analysis and analytical skills.
Knowledge and know-how to troubleshoot potential issues, and experience with best practices around database operations.
ETL experience is a plus.
