Skill required- Software Vendor Management, managing collaboration tools (Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Team), issue and risk management, knowledge of SAM tools: Flexera Net Management Suite (FNMS), SAP and Ariba purchase requisition processes /Project and process Management, software renewals (software maintenance, software subscription, etc), software licensing controls, SCCM, software publisher license audits.

Preferred Education- BE/Btech/ MCA/ MTech

About Job Role:

The role of the person in question is crucial within the Vendor Management Organization (VMO). They will be responsible for managing a portfolio of renewals, focusing on both cost savings achieved through the renewal process and ensuring timely completion of renewals to maintain business continuity. The portfolio will primarily consist of software renewals.

This team member will work closely with a Lead IT Systems analyst in the VMO, who will provide guidance and support. The analyst will also contribute to project management efforts within the VMO and oversee the participation of the Software Asset Management (SAM) team in significant corporate initiatives such as divestitures, mergers, and acquisitions.

• Ability to apply business acumen and due diligence analysis to Lumen's decision to renew a portfolio of software renewals (software maintenance, software subscription, etc)
• Ability to manage multiple analyses of renewals concurrently, ensuring that renewals and approvals complete to meet contractually required deadlines while validating value for Lumen. (That is, ensure that the right decision is made on-time.) Influence and drive processes, so that process participants who report to non-VMO hierarchies engage on a timely basis and provide accurate information for the best decisions.
• Experience with issue and risk management; ability to resolve priorities and process issues while sustaining intra-Lumen business relationships.
• Preferred: understanding of software used to support telecommunications and IT lines of business.
• Clear communicator: ability to engage with levels across an IT organization, from system admin/engineer to executive.
• Proven experience managing collaboration tools (Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Team), clearly documenting processes, leading workshops that improve processes and explaining processes to participants.
