Job Responsibilities:
- Draft legal notices, ensuring clarity and accuracy by understanding agreements and collecting relevant information.
- Respond to legal notices, coordinating with internal teams for input and ensuring timely and precise replies.
- Manage litigation and arbitration proceedings, collaborating with legal counsel and internal stakeholders until resolution.
- Handle secured loans documentation and compliance with regulations.
- Work closely with collection agents, recovery officers, and other teams involved in debt recovery.
- Liaise with enforcement authorities, draft responses to statutory notices promptly and accurately.
- Continuously monitor collection agencies and executives to detect fraudulent practices, ensuring the prevention of any financial losses resulting from such activities.
- Maintain a comprehensive litigation tracker for periodic updates to stakeholders.
- Draft, review, vet and negotiate various commercial agreements, providing legal insights and risk advisories to stakeholders.
- Advising and coordinating with various departments of the company to ensure legal compliance.
- Evaluate and provide inputs on credit documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines.
- Dealing and negotiating with customers and participating in the closure of legal issues.
- Draft and review loan documents periodically, ensuring accuracy and adherence to legal standards.
- Identify and communicate commercial, operational, and non-legal clauses in agreements for review and confirmation.
- Constantly staying updated about latest developments in the field of legal, regulatory and case law affecting the business in the NBFC space.
- Offer legal assistance for daily business operations
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB/JD) from a recognized institution.
- Admitted to the bar with a valid license to practice law.
- 4-6 years of relevant legal experience in the NBFC/Fintech sector.
- Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
- In-depth knowledge of financial regulations and compliance in the NBFC/Fintech industry.
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and deadlines effectively.
