Job Overview
We are looking for a talented Mechanical Designer to join our team at GOOD FIVE YES JOB CONSULTANCY. As a Mechanical Designer, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical components and systems for various projects. This is a full-time position based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, and requires 1 to 3 years of experience in the field.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- 1 to 3 years of experience in mechanical design
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and SOLIDWORKS
- Strong knowledge of new product design and development
- Familiarity with detailing and creating engineering drawings
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
Roles and Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical components and systems for projects
- Create detailed technical drawings and models using AutoCAD and SOLIDWORKS
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet project requirements and specifications
- Conduct research and analysis to stay updated with industry trends and advancements
- Perform calculations and simulations to validate design feasibility and optimize performance
- Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure timely and accurate production of components
- Assist in the development of new products and improvement of existing designs
- Prepare and maintain documentation, including bills of materials (BOM) and engineering change orders (ECOs)
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and drive innovation
- Adhere to quality and safety standards throughout the design and development process
