What are we looking for:
As an architect with a global product team, you will use our architectural skills to define and develop the architectural roadmap and build systems aligning to the product's long term architectural vision. With the global digital team, you will use your skills developed over the years to implement cutting edge solutions using the latest technology to solve some challenging business problems. You'll work complex projects and contribute to the overall strategic vision of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be primary owner of the architecture of your product and also be responsible for preparing and maintain architectural documents, getting it reviewed, and ensuring alignment to the same during product development.
- If required, participate in development activities along with team creating modules & systems that can then be treated as a working reflection of the engineering best practices.
- Responsible for code reviews, design reviews and architecture discussions aligning the system with the functional and non-functional requirements
- Driving the adoption of these best architectural and engineering practices around coding, design, quality, performance in your team and influence them for the entire organization.
- Experiment and stay abreast of new & relevant technologies and tools in a constant effort to find the right tool for the job.
- Collaborate with Product Management and Product Development leaders in defining non-functional requirements aligning with product visions and strategies.
- Define & drive implementation and safeguard the long term technology vision for your product & team.
- Creating architectures & designs for new solutions around existing and new problem spaces
- Drive technology & tool choices for your team & be responsible for them.
Technical Competencies and Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge and experience in Software architecture including architecting, designing and implementing applications based on various architectural models like event driven, SoA, Microservices etc.
- Having a strong foundation of cloud architectural concepts and experienced in building enterprise applications with AWS Cloud services (including serverless offerings) and exposure to cost estimation with the AWS cost calculator.
- Good knowledge and experience in Java, J2EE, Spring, Spring Boot based application development
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into practical applications and operational solutions.
- Expertise in open source frame works and development
- Experience with web servers, service oriented architectures, web services security practices, database technologies.
- Preferably exposed to data architectural concepts and worked on data pipelines, data lakes, delta lakes and other self-service data platform development.
- Comprehensive understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), continuous integration and agile software development methodologies
Experience & Expertise:
- Minimum 10+ years of total work experience with 4+ years as an architect.
- BS or MS from premium schools in Computer Science, Information Systems or related technology.
- Quick & Excellent Problem solving skills for complex & large scale problems.
- Very strong system design and OO skills with an ability to craft clean interfaces and operate at the right levels of abstraction.
- Solid coding skills with ability to drive teams through massive refactoring exercise & improve coding standards across large code bases.
- Awareness of pitfalls & use cases for a large variety of solutions.
- Good understanding & experience of high performance web scale & real-time response systems.
- Should have been part of scalable product development cycles with either large data handling or large transaction processing exposure for 3+ years.
- Must be comfortable working in fuzzy environments where boundaries aren't clearly defined.
