The job requires a seasoned professional with a robust background in BiW (Body in White) structure, emphasizing substantial expertise in product design and development. The ideal candidate should be well-versed in navigating the intricacies of complex vehicle structures and adept at identifying modularity within the Vehicle matrix. Proficiency in developing and delivering digital CAD data is crucial for success in this role, showcasing a strong grasp of Entire Vehicle Geometry.
What You'll Do
- Apply expertise in BiW structure and leverage in-depth knowledge of product design and development.
- Navigate and contribute to complex vehicle structures, identifying modularity in the Vehicle matrix for enhanced efficiency.
- Develop and deliver accurate digital CAD data, showcasing proficiency in digital design tools and methodologies.
- Demonstrate extensive knowledge of Entire Vehicle Geometry, ensuring alignment with design specifications.
- Execute tasks and activities within agreed timelines, emphasizing efficiency and adherence to project schedules.
- Utilize a deep understanding of materials related to BiW, including proficiency in various joining methodologies such as welding, riveting, and gluing.
- Identify corrosion-prone areas in the vehicle, proposing effective protection measures to enhance durability.
- Conduct packaging studies and contribute to master section creation, optimizing spatial arrangements within the vehicle.
- Exhibit expertise in sheet metal surface design, addressing defects and optimizing manufacturing processes for improved product quality.
What We're Looking For
- Hold a degree in B.E./B.Tech or M.Tech in Mechanical, Automobile, or an equivalent field, showcasing a strong academic background.
- Possess a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in the automotive industry, demonstrating a solid understanding of the sector.
- Proven expertise in Body in White (BIW) product design, with a specific emphasis on utilizing NX (Unigraphics) for design and development.
- Substantial experience and proficiency in using Unigraphics software, highlighting a deep understanding and practical application of the tool.
- Demonstrated expertise in CAD construction, specifically with NX, including mastery of the Advanced Surface module, solid modeling, assembly, and drawings.
- Familiarity with PDM tools, particularly Engineering client/Team Center, showcasing competence in data management within an engineering environment.
- Possess a comprehensive technical skill set, with a focus on mechanical or automobile engineering, aligning with the requirements of the position.
