Job description
Vertiv is hiring a Sourcing Deputy Manager in Thane, India who will be a member of the Sourcing Team and is responsible supporting processes related to Commodity Management with a target of optimizing Cost to company, Managing Supplier Relationship(s) and driving Supply Chain initiatives. The ideal candidate for this role will demonstrate a Strong Commodity Management, Cost Management, costing and general knowledge of tactical procurement, planning; and will possess strongorganizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills. Candidate will be closely working with Engg, Product Management, Quality, and Ops team to drive business initiatives Responsibilities : Deputy Sourcing Manager (Supply Chain) will be responsible for : · Driving strategy of assigned commodities along with Global and Regional Stake Holders · Manage cordial and healthy relationship with all supplier(s) / partner(s) · Manage cost, keep all stake holders updated on market trends · Identify opportunities for reducing cost and lead time while improving Supply Chain agility · Supporting Global Commodity Manager for Global activities · Driving Supplier Capacity management programs and Quality Improvement Initiatives · Supporting factories in de-bottlenecking of supply constraints · Benchmarking of cost and supply chain model, implementation of VMI Key Commodities : Commodity management of Cabinets/ Enclosure/ Racks, Busbar, Heat Sink, Hardware Lead and supports data analysis for cost optimization to support negotiation strategies and compare vendor bids. Work closely with Business stakeholders, Finance and Legal as part of Strategic Sourcing process. Education BE Mech / MBA desirable Other Requirements 7+ years of experience in Strategic Sourcing E-Sourcing experience, specifically with reverse auctions Strong analytical skills and expert user at Microsoft Excel A strong business acumen Ability to work within a matrix management environment Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively Process improvement skills Project Management Skills Ability to organize and schedule people and tasks Highly organized and can multi-task Target Industries : UPS Industry / Telecom Industry/ Thermal Industries Ideal candidate should have worked in a Manufacturing and / or Project business (UPS / Telecom industry) and should have excellent exposure to Machanical Commodities and connects with the leading suppliers across India and Global. Should possess understanding of local and overseas markets and cost parities with logistics complexities.
