Currently, the company is in the expansion stage as we have commenced our vehicle deliveries in Bangalore with over 50+ vehicles on road. Location : Whitefield, Bangalore (On-Site - Work from office only)
Role: Machining Development Engineer (10 yrs of experience)
●Responsible for the build to print parts – Mainly Machining of Ferrous and Non-ferrous parts and gears
●Responsible for evaluating the design wrt. Machining requirements
●Required to give inputs to engineering wrt. Achievable tolerances, Datum structures.
●Understand supplier manufacturing capabilities and feed the inputs back into the design
●Responsible for calculating the detailed machining CT with drawings and optimizing the machining CT.
●Responsible for review of DFM, DFA, and DFT aspects
●Participate in supplier qualification in terms of manufacturing process capabilities
●Stabilize manufacturing process at supplier end
●Create a process map & PFMEA
●Design of test setup for QC - development, and deployment as a process
●Responsible to develop prototyping within program timelines
●Responsible for the refinement of parts from First tool parts to PPAP sign off
●Get agreements on the CTQs
●Develop acceptance criteria & a plan for handling rejection
●Ensure quality parts for various stages of builds
●Change management communication & co-ordination with the suppliers
●Conduct PPAP & develop a plan for all open issues before hand over to Quality
Here's what we are looking for:
●Expertise in evaluating the design wrt. Machining requirement
●Exposure Machining fixtures, gauges, inspection processes, and design evaluation.
●Exposure to the specific tool materials used for specified parts.
●Knowledge of different machine parameters impacting the part quality.
●Exposure to different machining processes. drilling, Milling, grinding, lapping, etc.
●GD&T knowledge especially for Machining processes.
●Knowledge of castings, forgings, and coating will be added benefits.
●Exposure to PMFEA, APQP, MSA, and Cp Cpk approach to product development
