Overview of Position and Candidate Profile

Role: Lead New product design

Job Location: Bengaluru

Experience Range: 13 16 Years ( AM Level)

Education Qualification: Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Design Engineer to lead a team of engineers to

conceptualize and machine design systems to be deployed across industries like automotive,

foundry, packaged consumer goods, pharmaceuticals, heavy engineering, locomotives,

construction equipment, oil and gas etc.,

You will be a member of our engineering team co-crafting innovative automation systems

and solutions. To excel in this role, you should have good design fundamentals, creative flair

and strong attention to detail. You will collaborate with controls engineers on various

automation projects, using in-depth knowledge of the latest design trends and engineering

software (2D/3D CAD, Design Simulation & Manufacturing Simulation) to come up with

innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

Evaluate designs and review manufacturing drawings

Identify solutions to improve production efficiency

Design validation using DFMEA tools

Create pneumatic and hydraulic circuits

Estimate cost / design within budget

Working with suppliers for manufacturing of designs as per design intent

Guide assembly team during integration activities and provide Commissioning

assistance

Implement standards and discipline in the design & assembly processes

Implement design automation

Research new & Improve existing product ideas and methods

Ensure compliance with the industrys safety standards

Maintain accurate records and data management

Create documents & reports

Find creative design solutions to problems

Present prototypes and designs to customers and project managers

Commissioning assistance

Review and coordinate flow of information among various groups and customers,

and implement measures to resolve problems, ensure meeting schedule

commitments and achieve customer satisfaction

Requirements

A minimum of 13 16 years experience in designing mechanical Systems

Sound Knowledge of GD&T

Proficiently use design tools like CREO, AutoCAD, MATLAB and ANSYS

Exposure to manufacturing simulation software like solidcam, Mastercam, nx, etc...

Good listening, communication & presentation skills

Tolerance of ambiguity, and commitment to task.

Teamwork and leadership skills.

Prioritize the work among competing priorities

Develop and execute product design and development plan.
