Job Description :We are seeking a Test Engineer to join an existing seasoned team, with the primary goal of evaluating our software suite via automation, and manual validation. You will work under the direction of senior test team members, with product managers and developers. As a test engineer, you will be responsible for persona driven scenario validations of defined feature areas, new products, and cross suite interactivity/dependencies of a larger software suite.Responsibilities :- Writing basic automation scripts, editing existing scripts, and debugging automation code - Growing a multi tool automation suite of tests using existing frameworks (Appium). - Ensuring that the automation output is clear, precise and up to date - Capable of working with a team as requirements are gathered, and actively participating in conversations, then translating into actionable stories and tasks. - Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies- Creates test cases, executes test cases and prioritizes testing activities.- Apply and promote industry best patterns and practices in Test chapter- Should take ownership and be proactive in working through issues and roadblocks.- Develop and implement performance test plans to ensure platform and configuration level control across all system releases.- Have knowledge of web and mobile application manual testing- Basic Knowledge of API Testing with Postman and rest assured- Knowledge of AGILE methodologies,SDLC,STLCPreferred Experience :- An understanding of software test methodologies, tools, scripting and processes - Test automation experience including App, Web, API and SQL - 1 to 3.5 years of experience in Python, Appium, SQL and relational databases- Experience in agile environments is good- Experience in requirements gathering, and story development and tasking - Communicating progress, blocking issues and strategy in person and via test plans (ref:hirist.tech)
