Opportunity
REPORTING :
- Report to Own Vessel Performance Team Manager and in his absence to Head of Energy Performance and Operations (EP & O)
PURPOSE :
- Monitor and drive energy optimization measures on vessels under his/her responsibility.
- Provide support to core operations as and when required.
- Provide assistance to Time Charter Vessels with regards to Star Connect, Energy Performance, MSPS, VPOA and METC reports.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
3.1 VESSELS:
- Provide clarity to vessels for setting correct parameters in achieving optimum efficiency.
- Monitor Energy Efficiency components for vessels under your responsibility.
- Provide assistance to vessel management for StarConnect usability queries.
- Vessel visits of ships requiring special attention and undergoing projects.
- Ensure all projects initiated should keep safety as its key priority in all daily vessel operations.
3.2 Fleet Management and Technology:
- Collate and closely analyze vessel performance reports with objective of highlighting and supporting technical superintendents in addressingareas for improvement.
- Provide feedback and support to technical superintendents in all Vessel Performance related matters, with high focus being on energy efficiency.
- Closely liaise with Fleet Technology and other teams to ensure maximum utilization of Performance tools and supporting further development of the system as per MAERSK requirement.
- Share reports highlighting performance trends within Fleet Operations.
- Provide support for detailed study of monthly performance reports.
- Drive innovations and initiate projects within Fleet Operations towards improving Energy Efficiency targets.
3.3 COMMUNICATION
- Maintain relations/communication with external parties/stakeholders.
3.4 INVESTIGATIONS
- Assist Fleet groups in investigations into incidents and seek close co-ordination with Fleet Technology.
- Anticipate weak spots by monitoring incidents and developing dialogues with vessels & Fleet Superintendents.
3.5 MANAGEMENT
Keep management advised of developments within the area of responsibility.
