- As an Associate Vice President (AVP) in the Legal department of the Corporate Strategy and Financial Development (CSFD) division, you will be a key player in shaping and executing legal strategies to support the organization's corporate initiatives and financial development projects
- You will provide legal guidance, manage risk, and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- This role requires a strategic mindset, excellent legal acumen, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
Responsibilities:
- Legal Advisory:Provide expert legal advice and support to the CSFD division, senior management, and other business units
- Analyze complex legal issues related to corporate strategy, financial transactions, and business development
- Contract Review and Negotiation:Review, draft, and negotiate a variety of agreements, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, financing agreements, and strategic partnerships
- Ensure that legal agreements align with the organization's goals and risk tolerance
- Regulatory Compliance:Stay abreast of relevant laws and regulations affecting corporate strategy and financial development
- Develop and implement compliance programs to mitigate legal risks associated with CSFD activities
- Due Diligence:Oversee legal due diligence processes for potential transactions, including identifying legal risks and proposing risk mitigation strategies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a comprehensive understanding of legal implications in financial transactions
- Stakeholder Collaboration:Collaborate with internal stakeholders, external legal counsel, and regulatory bodies to address legal matters effectively
- Build strong working relationships with business leaders and provide legal support to enable strategic decision-making
- Policy Development:Develop and implement legal policies and procedures relevant to the CSFD division
- Ensure that policies align with industry best practices and legal requirements
- Dispute Resolution:Manage and oversee the resolution of legal disputes related to corporate strategy and financial development
- Work closely with external legal counsel as necessary
- Team Leadership:Lead and mentor a team of legal professionals within the CSFD Legal department
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team
