Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Team Member-Litigation. The Team Member-Litigation will be responsible for providing legal support on various transactions involving court cases either filed by the bank / against the bank, day to day monitoring of the said cases, speedy disposal of cases in a time bound manner and providing opinions to the other departments / peer groups in the Bank.
Job Specification:
- Initiation of SARFAESI in the eligible NPA accounts of Bank & drafting notices, manage possession, coordination with LEA authorities, take over & sale of Secured Assets.
- Coordinating & communicating with vendors as well as all internal customers of the bank. Regular monitoring of borrower accounts / regular follow-ups and maintaining an update on the developments in the respective borrower accounts.
- Initiating legal action under recovery related laws. Liaison with the legal team and external law firms.
- Day to day appearance in Courts, different statutory and regulatory bodies.
- Ensuring that resolution strategies are in compliance with organizational and regulatory guidelines.
- Liaison with other departments (Risk/Credit/Legal/Compliance) as per the requirements;
- Coordinate with various departments, for internal as well as external reporting. Resolving queries of the internal, concurrent as well as RBI auditors.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Must be a Law Graduate and with firsthand knowledge in litigation management for BFSI.
- Prior relevant experience in law firm or financial services industry with similar role including banks, Non- Banking Finance Companies, Asset Reconstruction Companies, Private Equity Firms will be preferred. However, fresher's can also apply for Junior Posts.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in the relevant job role.
Skill Requirements:
Strong communication skills, excellent drafting and risk awareness. Proficient in handling Legal Software & Data/MIS management.
