Role & Responsibilities Overview Client relationship Management and Business Development -- Expected to work in close collaboration with the Client team and EXL team on establishing relationship with stakeholders, identify new opportunities, areas of growth
- Work closely with client business leaders to understand their goals and develop approach/strategy with internal leadership to provide solutions that add business value
- Develop long-lasting, trusted advisor relationships with clients to monitor and grow the relationship
- Develop business proposals, facilitate client working sessions, and facilitate sessions with Internal SMEs to demonstrate organization's capabilities to client
- Participate and own various new RFPs, work with various SMEs to research and develop technical/business case-studies
Project Delivery Management -- Lead and contribute to P&C actuarial pricing team
- Develop and review Generalised Linear Models for various coverages and perils across different lines of business
- Identify opportunities to drive innovation and suggest process improvements
- Lead and own refinement of pricing models by employing advanced analytics techniques and industry leading tools
- Ensure quality of deliverables, peer review and testing
- Provide Project, Client & Team Management and Monitor progress of deliverables on daily basis and ensures timely resolution of any issues
- Establish project risk, issue, compliance management frameworks and establish strong engagement governance frameworks in place
- Ensure Industry best practices are followed, Communicate and follow up with delivery team
- Brainstorming on pain areas/Identifying reasons for issues/Issue Resolution, diagnosis of inefficiencies in the current process and figuring out ways to resolve it
- Provide technical direction to project team members across data modeling, data manipulation, visualization, predictive modeling, Reporting and Automation projects across Insurance Value Chain
Capability Development and support -- Establish environment of learning and development to continuously strengthen delivery proposition for various analytics setups
- Encourage and keep team members motivated to develop innovative solutions; Establish industry standard framework for absorbing latest development in the industry
Candidate Profile - Bachelor's/Master's degree in economics, mathematics, actuarial sciences, operations research or related analytics areas; candidates with BA/BS degrees in the same fields from the top tier academic institutions are also welcome to apply
- Student member of recognized actuarial institute : IFOA, IAI, SOA etc with 5 passed actuarial exams
- Proficient in tools like EMBLEM, RADAR, EARNIX and has led/developed models using the tools in their past experience
- 9-12 years' experience, with 6-8 years in insurance analytics (preferably in P&C Insurance)-
- Demonstrated experience of serving client from onshore setup, working with US clients and manage programs for analytics engagement from US.
- Is able to understand cross cultural differences and utilize it to strengthen relationship
- Experience in working in dual shore engagement and must have experience in managing large programs – Insurance Analytics CoE and multiple clients directly
- Demonstrated experience across analytics value chain and has delivered multiple BI, Automation, Predictive modeling, Business consulting, PI assignments
- Competitor analysis, Ad-hoc data analysis and application of First principles thinking approach to solve business problems
- Knowledge of general insurance domain and P&C actuarial concepts is a must.
- Personal and commercial lines general insurance pricing, reserving for US insurance markets
- Knowledge of GI actuarial modelling package such as Emblem
- Managerial experience in leading analytics teams including career management of offshore staff, training, recruiting
- Demonstrated leadership ability and willingness to take initiative, continuously work towards providing value to internal and external customers
- Strong record of achievement, solid analytical ability, and an entrepreneurial hands-on approach to work
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Able to work in fast pace continuously evolving environment and ready to take up uphill challenges
