About The Business

The Hitachi Energy Indian Operations Center (INOPC) is a competence center with around 2300 skilled engineers who focus on tendering, engineering, planning, procurement, project Management, functional system testing, installation supervision, documentation and commissioning. However, over the last decade, it has evolved to become the largest Operations hub. The India Operations Centre team at Chennai, Bangalore and Gurugram supports Hitachi Energy's units in more than 40 countries across a wide portfolio of all the four business units in Hitachi Energy To date, the team has executed engineering and commissioning for projects in more than 80 countries.

Your Responsibility

  • Handling of allocated Work packages from LPG
  • Participating in Kick-off meetings
  • Resource planning inline with the LPG priorities and WPs
  • Review of the complete drawings including Base Design, Detail design, Manufacturing documents, Workshop revision and As-built
  • Estimating the hours and date required to complete an assigned task.
  • Clarification / technical Meetings with LPG on projects
  • Monitoring of engineering hours for all of their WPs
  • Co-ordination with factory for clarifying queries related to their respective projects.
  • Guiding team members to deliver the projects with quality and on time.
  • Responsible for setting internal targets for WP submissions.
  • Responsible for driving smaller teams to deliver the WPs.
  • Responsible for compliance with the applicable standards and regulations, in particular the ISO 9001 (QMS), 14001 (Environmental Management) and OHSAS 18001 (Occupational Safety) standards Principles:
  • Ensure Hitachi Energy integrity guidelines are followed in the team.
  • Ensure IS security policy followed in the team.

Your Background

  • Bachelor's in electrical & Electronics Engineering with overall experience of 8-10 years
  • Very Good knowledge of CAE tools (Nice to have experience in e3, not mandatory)
  • Very Good knowledge of Protection & Control Systems for T & D / Gen
  • Familiarity with codes and applicable standards like IEC, IEEE, ANSI, etc...
  • Ability to work with multiple discipline projects.
  • Ability to work in a team and maintain professionalism.
  • Good Communication and Interpersonal skills  Should possess good leadership skills and ability to manage stakeholder expectations.
