Position: Area Sales Manager – India South
Overall Role : The main objective of Area Sales Manager – India South is to develop the business within his territory under the guidance of Regional Sales Manager – India South. The ASM should develop market share, grow the business, and achieve annual targets & objectives. ASM should also keep the higher ups informed about new developments, projects and competition activities in the assigned Region. Job Responsibilities: • Face to Face meeting with customers & distributors • Support parallel & service team members in region • Achieve assigned revenue target from region. • Develop and implement action plans to achieve long term & short term sustained growth in the region. • Develop distribution network in the region as per need and effectively manage distributors. • Ensure timely collection of receivables in region on regular basis. • Maintain good customer relations by being in constant touch with the customers and also ensuring customer satisfaction. • Expand customer base by adding new channels & direct customers • New Product Launches, Demonstration of products in the region and market development for new products. • Make analysis of market segments, compile competitor information and provide to Sales & Marketing directors with useful information for market development.. • Practice Ethical Business Code of Conduct in region. • Proper and timely reporting of information asked by regional & global HQ. • Make effective use of sales tools like Customer Technology Days / Walk the Line / Transform & New Product Launch. • Demo/Trials of existing products & new launches • Other duties as assigned time to time Key Deliverables • Topline & Bottom line • Sales Target – Order & Sales • Price realization and improvement. • Gross Margin • Receivable days and overdue receivables. • Collection of Receivables. • Market share development • Reporting to RSM & Head office • New customers addition • Customer Satisfaction • Key account management • Distribution management. • Adherence to Business Code of Practice • Customer Seminar / WTL / Transform Critical Skills & Qualifications: • Bachelor Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Industrial Engineering • Min 8~10 years of experience, preferably in Industrial sales of capital or consumable products • Knowledge in Assembly /Tightening tools, Material Removal tools, Sockets will be an added advantage • Exposure in Automotive & General Engineering industry • Planning & Execution • Cross-functional team working • Multitasking • Crisis Management • Develop & Maintain Channel Network • Analytical skills • Knowledge of finance function • Openness to ideas and suggestions • Willingness to take on responsibilities and new challenges as they arise • Good Communication & Presentation skills • Open for frequent & short notice travels At Apex Tool Group ( we’re passionate about innovation.
