Job description

• As a Network Security Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the security infrastructure of our network

• The ideal candidate should have a strong background in network security, a deep understanding of cybersecurity principles, and the ability to proactively identify and mitigate security risks

Responsibilities:

• Network Security Infrastructure:Design, implement, and manage network security infrastructure, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, VPNs, and other security devices
• Ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of network resources
• Incident Response:Monitor network traffic for unusual activity and respond to security incidents
• Conduct investigations to identify the root cause of security breaches and recommend corrective actions
• Security Policies and Procedures:Develop and enforce network security policies and procedures
• Regularly review and update security documentation to reflect the evolving threat landscape
• Vulnerability Management:Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
• Collaborate with the IT team to remediate identified vulnerabilities promptly
• Security Awareness Training:Provide training and awareness programs for employees to enhance cybersecurity awareness
• Ensure that employees are informed about best practices for network security
• Network Monitoring and Optimization:Implement and manage network monitoring tools to identify and address security threats
• Optimize network performance while maintaining a secure environment
• Collaboration:Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate security measures into existing networks and systems
• Work closely with external vendors to evaluate and implement new security technologies
• Documentation:Maintain comprehensive documentation of network security configurations and changes
• Prepare reports and updates for management regarding the status of network security
