Note: Role will be: Requirement gathering, Design and Deployment, Implementation, and it's kind of L3 support role, they will not consider only who are working in support role. Responsibilities: The individual will be responsible for the configuration and administration of the multi-vendor network environment. This will include design, operations, administering, maintaining, and implementing a multi-vendor network architecture. This individual will also be responsible for the quality control of the deployed systems with responsibilities to include Perform complex technical requirements management and analysis.
• Implementing network solutions that best utilizes IPSEC and L2 point to point WAN designs.
• Experience working with Application network performance testing and tuning.
• Solid understanding of switching and routing in a Datacenter, HQ, remote office, call centers, and manufacturing environments.
• Develops and executes plan for network security best practices and security vulnerability remediation's based on accepted Varian network controls.
• Evaluates and recommends network security applications (i.e., IPS/IDS, Malware protection, next generation application aware firewalls, 802.1x port security, etc.) that helps to improve network security posture.
• Execute on all aspects of network adds/moves/changes related to Real Estate office initiatives. This will include providing network WAN/LAN/Wireless solutions and based on known industry best practices and internal Varian standards.
• Proven ability to drive project plans and complete project on time and on budget.
• Hands on experience configuring and supporting IP routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP.
• Working experience implementing and supporting QOS. This entails troubleshooting and ensuring that mission critical applications such as VOIP and VC are receiving desired bandwidth as designed.
• This position also requires working experience supporting global WAN technologies such as IPSEC, SSL/VPN, ISP/DIA, and Point to Point leased lines. Experience implementing network circuits with Tier 1-3 ISP providers on a global scale. Understanding of backbone and network hub and spoke network architectures.
• Responsible for WAN MPLS and DIA turn ups. Solid knowledge of working with global network providers.
• Lead/drive small to medium d innovation assignments/topics.
• Assist Service Orchestration Management with the development of roadmaps for implementations related to Network services.
• Review and approve technical designs, specifications and statement of work documents.
• Oversee the delivery of quality IT solutions that support Healthineers business requirements ranging from direct requests from the business to complex and cross sector Global strategic initiatives.
• Consult, Troubleshoot and Solve IT infrastructure issues working with Business, IT partners and various IT teams.
• Provide SME support for major incidents as needed.
Required Knowledge and Experience: Experience: 8+ years of relevant work experience in multi-vendor multi-protocol large scale network environment. 8+ years hands on experience working with Juniper, Cisco, Palo Alto Networks, Aruba. • Network Planning, Design, and Implementation.
• Enterprise level Networking knowledge in multiple technical areas including:
• Juniper Environment: EX4XXX, EX2XXX, QFX5XXX, QFX10XXX, MX10XX,
• Cisco Environment: ASR 1001, 2921, 38XX, 29XX, 19XX, 18XX, 92xx, 93xx
• Aruba: 3600, 7200 controllers, AP-135s, Airwave, ClearPass).
• Palo Alto Networks: (PA-200, PA-30XX, PA-50XX, PA-70XX)
• Cloud Networking:
Azure: Express Route, Virtual Network, Load balancer, application Gateway, virtual/local network Gateway, Traffic manager, Route table, Network Security Group
Knowledge of Datacentre and branch office firewalls such as Palo Alto Networks NGFW platforms with a working knowledge of security best practices and concepts. This should include experience working with IPS/IDS.
Knowledge of application flows, packet capture and analysis.
Knowledge of virtualization technology in network, systems, and storage.
Perform performance tuning and capacity management analysis that leads to possible recommendations to ensure solutions are scalable but cost effective.
Serves as a network SME for EMEA/APAC business units and helps to deliver timely but yet thorough network designs and solutions.
Expert level relationship management, communications skills and interpersonal skills to manage face to face communications on a daily basis with multiple levels of customer management and engineering staff across multiple departments a responsible and professional fashion.
Must be proactive and take the lead role when required.
Good troubleshooting skills to isolate and identify configuration, design, and software anomalies; ability to clearly articulate findings in written and verbal communications with development level engineering staff.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple network projects and work calmly under pressure.
Consistently follow standard change management processes. Document and evaluate impact of required changes to the various stakeholders and IT. Plan, schedule and communicate changes to be implemented.
Create, publish and update Network logical and physical diagrams, Knowledge Articles and documentation.
Willingness to adopt a flexible work pattern to ensure that cover is provided during core hours.
Act as an IT key holder to provide emergency out of hours cover.
Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:
Demonstrates and applies comprehensive knowledge of field of specialization to the successful completion of complex assignments. Demonstrates advanced knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures of area of specialization. Demonstrates significant knowledge of organization's business practices and issues faced and contributes to problem resolution of those issues. Typically, 10+ years of successful experience in related field and successful demonstration of Key Responsibilities and Knowledge as presented above. Advanced degree MAY be substituted for experience, where applicable.
