Job Description:

The Technical Project Manager (TPM) will plan, establish, and manage technical projects and will serve as a liaison between the business and technical aspects of assigned projects. TPM will align projects with customer needs and requirements, construct detailed work plans, achieve milestones, and communicate the results across a stakeholder audience. They organize projects with the goal of getting them completed on time and within budget.

Duties/Responsibilities:


  1. Manages assigned technical projects to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope of project.

  2. Sets and tracks project milestones manages and accounts for unforeseen delays, then realigns schedules and expectations as needed.

  3. Establishes and implements project communication plans, providing status updates to affected staff and stakeholders.

  4. Collects, analyses, and summarizes information and trends as needed to prepare project status reports.

  5. Facilitates gathering and validation of project requirements.

  6. Develops and maintains project data that tracks overall progress and accomplishment of specific milestones.

  7. Ensures all parts of an assigned projects are processed, organized, and progressing according to predetermined timelines and deliverable dates.

  8. Regularly communicates with customers to arrange meetings, confirm project schedules, and discuss any project problems.

  9. Coordinates internal and external resources scheduled, ensures projects remain within scope, schedule, and defined budgets.

  10. Develops and communicates detailed specifications for implementation. Negotiates plans and timeframes, ensures that clients understand the anticipated results.

  11. Analyses project progress and, when necessary, adapts timelines to achieve maximum benefit.

  12. Forecasts potential schedule delays and develops alternate plans.

  13. Creates and maintains comprehensive project management documentation.

  14. Analyses risks and provides regular updates regarding projects status and any problems or potential problems. Takes proactive steps to minimize delays in delivery.

  15. Collaborates with the Project and Delivery Teams to ensure the needs of the client have been met.

  16. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education, Experience, Basic Qualifications:


  1. 10+ years of overall development environment experience

  2. 5+ years of Hands-on leadership and end-to-end ownership of leading and delivering platforms and products by leveraging modern technology stack (Microservices, Cloud, DevOps)

  3. Experience leading onshore and offshore resources.

  4. Agile environment experience

  5. Bachelor s degree in Computer Science/Information Technology, or related field is required.

  6. PMP certification is a plus.

  7. Excellent analytical, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

  8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  9. Thorough understanding of project management principles and planning.

  10. Thorough understanding of information technology procedures and practices.

  11. Proficient with, or able to quickly become proficient with, a range of general and specialized applications, software, and hardware used in the organization and the industry.

  12. Ability to adapt to change.

  13. Extremely proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software program.

  14. Extremely organized with great attention to detail.

  15. Excellent customer service skills.

  16. Knowledge and experience using project management software.

  17. Ability to act as a team player.

  18. Strong experience working on

    1. ReactJS or AngularJS

    2. .Net, API Gateways (such as Apigee)

    3. Microservices

    4. REST API

    5. AI/ML and Computer Vision

Responsibilities and Duties


  1. Drive project kick-off activities: internal meetings, project plan documentation for top-tier, high profile customers.

  2. Provide oversight and management of work backlogs, the prioritization process and work scheduling and monitoring.

  3. Oversee assignments, report on risks, issues, and accomplishments.

  4. Build strong relationships with customers, partners, and internal team members.

  5. Works with the project stakeholders to develop schedules and establish milestones

  6. Ensures project progress against defined milestones and deadlines

  7. Actively communicates with key stakeholders to keep them informed on project activities

  8. Ensures adherence to all client data and security requirements

  9. Oversees the requirements/functional specification process

  10. Facilitate getting the work done practicing servant leadership and encourage discussion, decision making and conflict resolution.

  11. Assist in team development through holding teams accountable for their commitments, removing roadblocks to their work, and leveraging cross-functional team skills to improve product backlog throughput.
